how much is shipping?
I charge $5 shipping for all orders under $50, $8 for anything else up to $100, and $10 for anything over $100. I generally send out your packages using USPS. Please allow a few business days to receive your order (I try to send everything out within a day or two upon payment receipt, and travel time is out of my hands once it's put into the mailbox).what is your privacy policy?
JennyHats.com does not collect your private information. Payments are processed securely through PayPal, a third party site. For more information, or to set up your own account (which you'll need to do to purchase any items from here), please visit their website. In regard to your shipping address, I do need that so I can send you your goodies; but have no fear! I will not share your sensitive information with any third party, no matter how much they beg me :) Which never happens anyway.
If you'd like to be contacted occasionally about site updates, make sure to join our mailing list. All we need is your email address, and anything else is completely optional!
do you take custom orders?
Of course! Simply visit the Contact page and complete the form. I'd be happy to help you make something completely unique or create something from a pattern you've found (in a book or online) that you need worked up! I usually charge a bit more for these items as I need to purchase specific yarns, but it's not much for a hat or scarf.what's your return policy?
Sadly enough, I am unable to accept returns; however, my hats make great gifts!what's some general item information?
All hats fit a standard size noggin'. Having said that, yarn does stretch when made into material, specifically crocheted or knitted. A skully-fit hat will look especially small but is meant to fit rather snuggly. Certain pattern stitches will stretch better than others. As far as washing your JennyHats item, I recommend hand-washing for everything. Some of the yarns I use are delicate. While I spend a lot of time ensuring only the best quality of my items, I can't be resonsible for any yarn's genetic makeup (though I do try to select only those yarns that can stand the test of time).
